Hexagrama is an audiovisual sequencer.
Hexagrama generates sounds depending on different graphical patterns.
Hexagrama is part of my research about the „Sound of the Geometry“.
Hexagrama talks about the quality of time and how the geometrical coincidences change our perception of the musical composition.
Hexagrama explores the geometrical properties of sacred geometry.
Hexagrama runs in realtime.

Geometric Space by Vivian Barigand

Geometric Space, est une structure modulaire qui s’adapte au lieu, au minimum 4 modules dans un espace.
La triangularité des modules et la lenteur des bras, jouent avec cette idée d’hypnotisme.
La lenteur est importante pour accéder à la contemplation, l’aspect sonore y est travaillé
de manière à voir différents temps s’écouler et apparaître progressivement.

La composition est jouée par une armée géométrique d’élastiques colorés, de cette manière
une ambiance spatial et psychédélique se dégage, de module en module le spectateur peut
repérer des boucles, qui deviennent aléatoire, lorsque les bras se croisent.

Embroidered Zoetrope by Elliot Schultz

This project encourages viewers to watch and engage with animation physically.

Discs were created with animated sequences embroidered onto their surface. They have been designed to be played on standard turntables and their shape and size is inherited from 10″ vinyl records. The animation is activated when a strobe light illuminates the discs in sync with the embroidered frames of animation.

This work was completed for my degree project at the ANU School of Art in 2013.
